  • Round the Bay
Clockwise loop covering the west bay hills, east bay hills, Mt Diablo, and Mt Hamilton. A little bit of freeway slabbing, but mostly tight, windy roads with chip seal, potholes, and gravel in blind corners 😮. No toll eastbound San Mateo bridge 💰. Plenty of bailout points along the route. Ride to end at Orange Sunrise ice cream shop on Alum Rock Av. 🍨 _______________________________________________________ • WHEN: Saturday October 20th meet at 9am, KSU soon after • WHERE: Starbucks ☕ 654 Fremont Ave, Los Altos • PACE: intermediate+ • ROUTE: http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/display/20181015142154-53148-map.html • GEAR: 60°F coastal → 85°F inland • LUNCH: Ygnacio Plaza has multiple food options _______________________________________________________ sunrise ☼ 7:20 ~ 18:25 ☽ sunset +++++++++++++++++++ • Homework: Please read these important stuff → https://tinyurl.com/GRF-Etiquette • Here's how you can support "GroupRides" → http://www.meetup.com/GroupRides/pages/Support +++++++++++++++++++

This will be a long day ride. Panoche Rd is unpaved for 11 miles, but you can circumvent via Little Panoche Rd. Take bumpy Los Gatos Creek/Coalinga Rd on the way back or ride creamy smooth CA-198 CA-25 as your whim dictate. _______________________________________________________ • WHEN: Saturday October 13th meet at 8am, KSU soon after • WHERE: Chevron 680 Commercial St, San Jose, CA 95112 • PACE: intermediate+ • ROUTE: https://goo.gl/maps/ThpRkG2q8B32 • GEAR: cool 50° morning ~ warm 85° midday • LUNCH: Coalinga Chevron 30-minute break _______________________________________________________ sunrise ☼ 7:15 ~ 18:35 ☽ sunset +++++++++++++++++++ • Homework: Please read these important stuff → https://tinyurl.com/GRF-Etiquette • Here's how you can support "GroupRides" → http://www.meetup.com/GroupRides/pages/Support +++++++++++++++++++

  • Road v. Way: You Be The Judge (Sat 9/29 @ 9:45 AM, Los Gatos)
Road v. Way: You Be The Judge. What Roads to take? Which Way to go? That Gnarly twisty goat trail, or that smooth and creamy sweeper? Ride one long clockwise loop or a do a few zig zagie short ones. Coastal roads or the Hills? North-East or South-West? It's our choice ..... and darn it we will do what we want. Right? :-))) So, while folks in Washington DC are making decisions that could impact your choices, here in the greater Bay Area - the moto heaven - these choices are still yours to make. Road v. Way. Come ride the Roads that you love, just the Way you like them, and you be the Judge :-) ~ ~ ~ ~ An exhilarating ride thru picturesque back-roads of our beloved Santa Cruz Mountains surrounded by trees, creeks, hills, valleys and the Pacific Ocean. • When: Saturday Sep 29.
