This will be a one-day training CPD event for therapists and other professionals who would like to understand more about Highly Sensitive Clients, the facts and science around Sensory Processing Sensitivity and how you can be more effective and supportive with this specific group. Following Barbara's recent advanced training with Dr Elaine Aron last year, this training is updated with summaries of recent research that is influencing our understanding of this trait. If you have attended the professionals training before and would like to update with some extra information, do come along for the reduced fee.

The training workshop is quality-checked by the National Counselling Society. Suitable for therapists, coaches, teachers, social workers and health/mental health workers.

As professionals, we owe it to our sensitive clients to understand their trait and to work with them appropriately in the context of their sensory processing sensitivity (SPS). Referring to the renowned work of Dr Elaine N Aron and Barbara's extensive experience in the area of SPS, this workshop will explore, through information and discussion, how we identify and work with sensitive adults and children, plus common myths, misdiagnoses and assumptions that can cause professionals to focus on sensitivity as an 'issue' or diagnosis rather than asset.

We will look at the importance of awareness and how we as professionals can give our full support to a group who make up the majority of our clients presenting for support. We will also take time to consider self-care for Professionals who are also highly sensitive, and the joys and challenges of this work for both HSP and non-HSP professionals.

A certificate of CPD attendance will be provided after the training.
