What we're about

Calling all lovers of nature and the great outdoors to join us in learning about the Mary Lake Nature Sanctuary in the Highlands District of the Greater Victoria Region.

This special little 7 acre lake surrounded by 60 acres containing 7 distinct ecosystems acts as a nature corridor between Thetis Lake Regional Park and the Gowlland Todd Provincial Park.

The property is almost 80% Riparian and sits in the imperiled Coastal Douglas-fir zone and the Millstream Watershed.

It has numerous creekside trails for you to wander so you can enjoy the beauty of this 13,000 year old watershed.

It will complete a 25 km world-class trail loop in the Highlands District just 30 minutes from Victoria BC once the CRD has built the trail link along the south and west borders.

Contact the Greater Victoria Greenbelt Society if you would like to volunteer for trail maintenance, invasive species removal, social media support, or at our events. info@marylakegvgs.com
