What we're about

"This is for you. From my heart to yours." ~Rebecca

Each guided meditation is created and offered in love by Mindfulness Coach Rebecca Cooley. Rebecca connects deeply with the collective energy of the participants in the room to create a custom session for those present. Each session will include time for stillness and quietude, mindful meditation to enter the present moment, a guided meditation, time to integrate what you have received through the practice of mandala art, and time for sharing in community. This is a time for sitting with, being with, feeling, and honoring yourself and your emotions.

*All meditation skill levels welcome.

*There will also be opportunities to go deeper with the meditation topics.

Meet your instructor: Rebecca Cooley is Mindfulness Instructor and Certified Master Coach. She is the author of a Mindful Approach to Coaching and a published poet. She integrates mindfulness, meditation and mind-body visualizations techniques in her coaching practice. For over ten years, she has helped clients with relaxation, self-compassion, fear reduction, emotion management, the mind/body connection, and cultivating deeper connections with others through interpersonal communication training, public speaking coaching, interview preparation, and life and career coaching. The Spirit of Gifting: Rebecca offers her classes and events in the spirit of gifting. Gifting is an opportunity for both the instructor and the participant to give and receive to honor each other and the exchange that is being shared. The spirit of gifting is a tradition in many cultures and is also known as dana. You give what you are able to give at this time in exchange for what you are receiving. Just as the instructor is offering a gift from her heart to all those who attend the class, the gift you offer is also given from your heart. In this way the exchange is infused with love. Although the price is listed, gifts can be in any monetary amount or they can be small gifts (examples of small gifts can be artwork or something you've made or candy, soap, etc.). These heartfelt gifts are given at at the start of the class or event. (Cash only please) Our Tradition: For the meetups we offer, we ask that members remove their shoes at the door. There are many reasons for this from cultural to cleanliness but one of the main reasons is we usually walk barefoot in the space.

Guided Meditation: Facing Fear

Rebecca's Home Away from Home

$20.00

~This is for you. From my heart to yours.~ Warm Greetings, Dear One. I hope that you can join us for an evening of meditation and reflection. I will be offering a guided meditation on Facing Fear. Facing our fear can be one of the most profound experiences toward personal growth, and greater compassion toward ourselves. As we face our fear, we learn how to be gentle with ourselves, we lovingly embrace aspects of ourselves that may have been difficult to accept, we begin to feel our feelings, and learn how to live in harmony with our feelings. This meditation is an opportunity to sit with your fear, embrace and face your fear, to be gentle with yourself as you feel difficult emotions, learn from the feeling of fear, hear it's insights, and make peace with the experience of fear... in a supportive meditation community. In this loving meditation, I will offer a gentle guided meditation on Facing Fear. I do this by connecting deeply with the collective energy of the participants in the room to create a custom meditation session specifically for those present. Each session will include: *time for stillness and quietude (if you enter late, please enter quietly to honor the silent practice of others), *time for a brief dharma share and introductions from those present, *mindful meditation and guidance to enter the present moment, *guided meditation, *time to integrate what you have received through the practice of mandala art, *and time for sharing in community. Suggested Donation: $20 (cash, check, or non-monetary gift) ***there is a donation box on the table, please place your donations there when you arrive *Recommended: Wear comfortable clothing for seated or reclining meditation.
