Join other ECers in the Jurassic Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, for a weekend with cycling, walking and fossil hunting options.
Explore England's first UNESCO World Heritage site by cycle, on foot - or even by kayak
We will be staying in our own comfortable converted Dutch barn in the countryside (but next door to a recommended country pub)
Cycling: Follow the Valley of The Stones and coastal routes along quiet country lanes. Depending on the weather this may include Abbotsbury Swannery, St. Catherine's Chapel and the Hardy Monument, Chesil Beach, Shipton Gorge and Eggardon Hill
For those with hybrids/MTBs there are also lots of off-road trails and bridleways to take you through the stunning scenery
Cycle hire is available at £12 per day
Walking: Just five minutes away from the South West Coastal Path - literally behind our barn. Searching for fossils and walking along Chesil Beach are always good options.
Travel: Bristol to Dorchester 1.5hrs by train. London to Dorchester 2.5hrs by train
Then 11miles (1.5hrs) cycle / £10 taxi to our accommodation. It is very likely we will be able to pick you up from Dorchester station but depends on arrival time.
