Saturn is close to opposition, fully lit and big and beautiful in my APO refractor telescope. If you've never seen Saturn through a quality telescope you're missing one of nature's most breathtaking sights.

The EAAA will be settting up telescopes again at Ft Pickens this Friday night. It's galaxy season and many far away galaxies are visible from the site, as well as nebula, star clusters, Mars and Saturn.

Eveybody's invited to come out and spend an evening with the club. Dr Wayne Wooten will be in attendence and giving constellation tours and showing live images on computer screens.

Battery Worth is the first right after the camp store. Bring skeeter spray as they're pretty hungry out there.
