Thank you so much to Karl and Eugene for organizing such a wonderful adventure, and to the Weather Gods for arranging such a beautiful day. As always, special thanks to the captains--Karl, Kathy, Jan, Neil, and Tony for bringing their boats. It was great to see everyone.

We are on the way after trailer tire repair. ETA 9:15. I also called camp Mack and confirmed they have an operating gas dock where we can refuel.

FYI-this is a 60 mile excursion. We will be out the WHOLE day. There are a couple of restaurants along the way, with Camp Mack as the final destination. This is not a tourist trap, it is the real deal, populated with the genuine article of "Southern Charm" For the Captains-if you follow the rule of thirds, 1/3 to go, 1/3 to return, and 1/3 for spare, and the average boat gets 2 miles to the gallon, that is 15 gallons to go, 15 gallons to return, and 15 for spare is 45 gallons of fuel. You can't always depend there will be fuel at the gas docks. So I might suggest bringing a spare gas can for fuel if your boat doesn't hold 45 gallons.

I looked up Camp Mack and it looks like it has a "rustic" bar/restaurant--http://www.campmack.c.... But we are exploring and none of us has ever been there before so we should probably bring our own just in case.
