Gypsy Jazz Jam (Takoma Park)

Our successful Jam at the VFW in Takoma Park continues! Players and listeners welcome. Bring an instrument, bring a friend or just come by yourself.

Depending on how many people come we may break into two groups. A couple of people are willing to trade off working with the slow jam group if we have one. We have only done this once so far, but it works.

As a basic resource we use the Django Fakebook 2008 which is readily available on the web. Meetup no longer allows us to keep copies on the Meetup group. I usually bring extra copies of the books for new people to use.

The VFW in Takoma Park serves drinks and snacks but no real meals. Eat before you come. The beer is pretty cheap. The VFW would like you to spend money while you are here to help keep their lights on and taxes paid.
