This Hike Is An 11 Mile Loop Around The Beautiful Green Lane Reservoir Followed By An Optional Additional 7 Miles From Green Lane To Spring Mountain Adventures On The Perkiomen Trail For Festival.
This Hike Is Usually Around The Height of The Fall Foliage Colors.
The Festival Offers Food, Beer, Games, Special Events and Live Music Ending With The Main Event... A Giant Bon Fire! You Can Also Do The Scream Mountain Haunted Hayride Adventure.

This Is A Special Event Challenge Shuttle Hike Around The Green Lane Reservoir And Ending At Spring Mountain To Enjoy The Optional WMGK Big Bad Bonfire (B3) Fall Celebration Event With Food, Beer and Live Music (See Separate Meetup Posting).
Hikers Have The Choice Of Hiking The 11 Mile Loop Around The Scenic Green Lane Reservoir OR The Loop Around Green Lane Reservoir PLUS An Additional 7 Miles On The Perkiomen Trail To Spring Mountain For A Total of 18 Miles.

The Green Lane Reservoir Is Formed By A Dam On The Creek On The North Side Of Green Lane ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Lane,_Pennsylvania ) That Backs Up Water From There To The North Of Route 663 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pennsylvania_Route_663 ).
The Perkiomen Trail ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perkiomen_Trail ) Was Established In 2003 As A Partnership With The Montgomery County Planning Commission And Local Governments To Provide A Hiking Trail Along The Creek That Stretches South From Green Lane Reservoir Park To Near The Schuylkill River Where It Meets Theschuylkill River Trail ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schuylkill_River_Trail ).

Part 1: An 11 Mile Loop Around The Green Lane Reservoir
Part 2: An Additional 7 Miles On The Perkiomen Trail
Important Note: When climbing hills, always feel free to take your time and climb at your own pace. We always stop at the top of very steep hills for a rest and water break.
Lunch: We Will Stop For A Brief Lunch Break At A Scenic Spot.
This hike is for MODERATE TO ADVANCED HARDCORE Hikers due to distance, hills, terrain and pace.
Please note that I will ALWAYS stop at various points along the way to let any slower hikers catch up whenever necessary.
We Leave No Hikers Behind! ;)
Hike Preparation and What You Will Need To Bring:
Sturdy hiking shoes are recommended.
Dress appropriately for weather conditions...including jackets, wicking material, hats, extra socks and rain gear.
As always...PLEASE REMEMBER TO HYDRATE BEFORE THE HIKE!
PLEASE BRING PLENTY OF WATER, lunch, snacks and other essential items you may need.

Dogs: Always Welcome (A Leash Is Recommended)
