PLEASE READ: If you are new to hiking or have not hiked in a while, please reconsider whether this hike is right for you as there are numerous steep hills and no early bailout point.
The plan is to hike approximately 9 miles on the Red Trail. This will take us around the perimeter of the preserve. There are plenty of steep hills with vistas of the surrounding area. The pace should be around 2.5 to 3 MPH. Bring snacks and water.
Hike Preparation and What You Will Need To Bring:
Sturdy hiking shoes are recommended.
Dress appropriately for weather conditions...including jackets, wicking material, hats, extra socks and rain gear.
As always...PLEASE REMEMBER TO HYDRATE BEFORE THE HIKE!
PLEASE BRING PLENTY OF WATER, lunch, snacks and other essential items you may need.
