Hey gang. Hope everyones'New Years celebrating, and Xmas merrying went well. Time to do some more tromping around town veggie-lover style :-). I had a recent suggestion to try out something in the comedy realm. Sounds like a great idea! I scoped out the Comedy Club on 2nd street, and the price is decent (only $10) and from what the nice door "gaurdian" told me, the shows are seldom sold out. There are almost always tickets available at the door for the same price as pre-paying online. For those of you that want to buy before hand though (I'll probably do that myself), you can purchase via the web site here:
The show is for PJ Walsh who sounds like a pretty decent comic. Not too "edgy", but pretty earnestly funny. Found some basic stuff on him via YouTube here:
Of course, it is a comedy club, so who knows what subjects are taboo or not, so be aware if you offend easily. I myself, DO NOT offend easily...bring on all the geeky-guy-veggetarian jokes you want, my resolve is absolute (lol).
Anyway, the basics will be meeting at Healthy Way at 6:30 for a dinner/get together. Lee has said there's a definite BYOB policy for us now. I'll let him know a rough estimate of people closer to the date. Closer to 8:00 when the club opens, we'll head down. It's not more than about 2 blocks away. Might be chilly, so dress warm. That's our exercise for the night :-).
Hope to see everyone there who can make it!
