Intermediate Robotics

In order to develop skills required for engineering or computer science that are required for robotics, students need opportunities to practice the skills learned in our beginning and intermediate engineering classes.

Students will be presented with challenges to complete either as individuals or with classmates. Most challenges are expected to take six to eight weeks to complete. Students will be required to draw upon the skills that they learned in previous courses and through previously completed challenges in order to design and build their robots. For each challenge students will be required to draw an electrical schematic, exploded mechanical plan and a flow chart. Students will receive guidance in troubleshooting their projects and will analyze each project upon completion to maximize their learning. As students progress to more complex challenges that will require working with classmates that have different skill sets, they will also learn to work as team members.
