Our mission is to prevent and ultimately end forced labor and sexual exploitation of men, women, and children. We raise awareness in communities through hosting educational events and speaking engagements. We collaborate with government agencies and non-governmental organizations to establish acceptable preventive measures, identify victims, expose traffickers and users, and promote slave-free practices. We provide funding for programs that support survivors of human trafficking through medical assistance, vocational training and economical development, so that survivors are better prepared to re-enter society.

Slavery still exists; it is just better hidden today than it was in the past. In fact, there are currently more human slaves in the world than ever before in history – an estimated 27 million adults and 13 million children around the world are victims of human trafficking. Every year, over a million men, women, and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in their own countries and abroad. Human trafficking is a crime against humanity. It deprives people of their human rights and freedoms, it is a global health risk, and it fuels organized crime. Victims are used for a range of exploitative purposes - sexual exploitation, forced labor, organ harvesting, and combat fighting, among many others.

The Human Trafficking Awareness (HTA) Council was founded to fight against this horrific evil and we are asking for your help. Only together, we can make a difference. We are looking for volunteers that would like to help us, in support of humanity, to raise awareness of this devastating reality.

Regardless of your background or expertise, there is a place for you in the HTA Council and we need your support. There is so much we can do with just a few small commitments from everybody. Together, we can create a movement to combat human trafficking on a global level, and provide a voice for its victims.
