18:30 Meteor: an open-source platform for building top-quality web apps in a fraction of the time - Avital Oliver (https://github.com/avital) will describe the architecture and some of the core components of Meteor and build a small sample app tying it all together.

Avital is a core developer at Meteor. Previously involved in many projects, including a Masters' thesis in Finite Group Theory, being a software engineer in the IAF, founding the School of Mathematics in Brooklyn, and being employee #7 at Asana.

20:05 Image Processing- Oren Rubin (https://twitter.com/shexman) describes how colors and images are perceived by humans and computers. UI fundamentals for FEDs will be discussed such as what is Hue, how it relates to RGB, and some general topic such as why screens can't display all the colors we see.
Basic image processing effects (done by HTML filters) like blur and sharpening will be explained.
