Greetings from NUI Central - NY/NJ

Hello All,

Last night's Kick-off meeting was great. We were in a beautiful space courtesy of our sponsor WeWork Labs and Ted Kramer. We had a great mix of people with diverse backgrounds that networked and made connections, as well as contributed to some meaningful discussions about NUI. To those that attended, we thank you for coming out and making for a nice evening. Please leave feedback on meetup.com. It helps everyone and helps us learn how to improve/focus the group.

The Battle of the COMMANDS was won by Google. After a slow start from Siri with a valiant attempt piloted by Rob Matthews, David Rodriguez jumped in and took the helm to help Siri make a powerful near come-back. In the end though, Thomas Wendt prevailed and rode off into the sunset with Google's reputation secured.

Thanks to Nis Frome for the photography.

If you lost a scarf, let us know... we found one.

We are working to establish the 3rd Mondays of the month as our meeting night. Most likely our next event will be March 18th. Stay tuned for more details.

If anyone has an NUI project they'd like to demo, or knows of an appropriate speaker please let us know.

Lastly, we'd like everyone to be actively involved, especially people that aren't coders or working in NUI. Our group has a place for everyone.

Regards,
Deb & Ken
