The mission of this group is to explore the yogic principles in its original form as described in the texts of Bhagwad Gita, Patanjali Yoga Sutras & HaTha Yoga Pradeepika.
Patanjali Yoga Sutra defines Yoga as "Chitta Vrutti Nirodaha" Succession or silencing of the thought waves in the mind. In that state the practitioner is in it’s true state of being. Otherwise he identifies himself with the waves. He also states that “Abhyasa Vairagyabham Tanirodha” which means the waves can be controlled by Practice and Detachment. He proclaims that after a long and steady practice with great love the goal is achieved.
In tune with Patanjali’s teachings and asana practices from HaTha Yoga Pradeepika, the group strives to inspire each other for developing personal practice.
