Please join us and long-time Linne stewards, Mary Busch and John Thill, for a few hours of resto work at this unique prairie in Morton Grove, IL. A potluck will follow. Morton Grove is accessible from points north and south via the Metra Milwaukee District North Line. Want to carpool? Shout-out below.
General advice for restoration workdays: All you need is a pair of tough shoes/boots, a sweatshirt if it’s cold, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, a water bottle, and a hat. (Long underwear/layers might also be good for this event.) As always, natural fibers (cotton, wool) are better than synthetic fibers (nylon, etc.) at our events as synthetic fibers can melt around the fire. This is not only dangerous but also can ruin your nice coat! On the day of the event, you can call me if you’re lost or have last-minute questions -- send me a personal email for details.
