Carrie is a community-engaged leader, experienced in program management and overall operation of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) grant. Carrie works tirelessly to help local businesses recruit and retain top talent.
The CSRA Regional Commission is designated by the U.S. Department of Commerce as the region's Economic Development District, the CSRA RC works with local economic development agencies throughout the recruitment and retention process. Staff also prepare an annual Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) document that outlines economic development goals and objectives for each county.
Carrie Lokey is a graduate Valdosta State University where she earned her Bachelors of Business Administration. She worked for 7 years in both insides, outside and business to business sales. She started her career in workforce development in 2009 under WIA as a Job Developer for work base learning programs. With the implementation of WIOA she helped create the role of Business Services for WorkSource East Central Georgia before moving to her current position. She has experience in creating and implementing Business Services policies, procedures and programs.
