Tech Talk - Signal/Collect

uberVU is hosting a presentation about Signal/Collect -, held by our guest Philip Stutz.

You should come if you are interested in running complex algorithms on large graphs quickly.

You will learn about the ideas behind the Signal/Collect programming model, some benchmarks of our distributed system and how to implement your own algorithms. During the live demo our guest will implement and run an example algorithm using the open source system.

About Philip Stutz

Philip is a PhD student at the University of Zurich and the main contributor to Signal/Collect , an open source system for large-scale graph processing.

Congratulations to Philip on an excellent talk.
Are the slides and the code from today's live demo going to be posted online?
Also, I have persuaded Maria to organize more such (computer-science-y) talks. Let this be the start of a tradition.

Thanks. I believe the best way to share the slides would be to use the file upload feature which is built into itself (More => Files).

Signal/Collect seems to be a very interesting framework. The demo was great in showing how easy it is to process data with S/C. Live demos can fail in so many ways, so I congratulate Philip on his flawless presentation.

    Thank you all for attending!
We will talk with Philip about the slides and code and post it here.
We invite you to our hackathon next Saturday and remember to keep in touch!
