Do you like stuffed animals? Well then learn how to make your own! This class will teach you how to turn drawings of your favorite creatures into a 3D form you can cuddle with. Through drawing, cutting, sewing, and stuffing we will make our creatures come to life!

How will the class be structured?

• Introduction to the class explaining outline of the class
• Sketching ideas for animal/creature
• Drawing template
• Pinning template to fabric
• Cutting out design
• Sewing and stuffing

Material Fee: $10
Class Fee: $15

How should students prepare?
Bring your sketchbook drawings or some images of an animal/creature you would
like to turn into a stuffed animal.

What will you get out of this lesson?
After you finish this class you will have enough understanding to make your own
stuffed animals at home!

Beginner or Intermediate Level
People with little or no sewing experience are encouraged to take this class.

Teacher Bio
Erika Lipkes enjoys being part of a community of artists and has been a practicing
artist and art teacher for the past number of years. She received her BA in art from
UC Santa Cruz, and went on to get her MFA in printmaking from Pratt Institute in
Brooklyn, New York. Besides being well versed in printmaking, she also specializes
in drawing, painting, bookmaking, soft sculpture, and performance.
