Thinking of doing a startup? Wondering if you should apply to one of the numerous accelerators? What is the difference between an incubator, an accelerator and a studio? What do the investors look for and how can I increase my odds of getting into one?
"Wait a minute, I am a hot shot founder guaranteed to create a 'unicorn'! I should be assessing them, and it seems like they are new ones coming out of the woodwork every day! How do eliminate those who only talk a good game?" you ask.
These questions and many others will be answered by Luni Libes (Founder, Fledge Accelerator) and Isaac Kato (Managing Director, Techstars). Luni is a successful founder as is Isaac. You will also get a chance to ask them whatever else you'd like to know.
Before Fledge, Luni was the co-founder or key executive at the Nimble Corp, 2Way and Medio Systems (acquired by Nokia).
Most recently, Isaac was the president of Mighty AI (acquired by Uber). Prior to that, he co-founded two successful enterprise software startups, personally raising $200 million+. One was a acquired and the other is a global leader in the data center business. He's also had stints as a venture capitalist at General Catalyst and Summit Partners, during which time oversaw several successful exits.
