A conversation about improving news through tech

We're holding our first meetup this coming Wednesday at 7 pm, at the Jai Bharat Centre in Hauz Khas Village, sponsored by What's Up Bharat.

Please come to meet like-minded journalists and coders, and get started talking about ways to improve storytelling and news technology.

The Google Developer Group New Delhi is officially supporting Hacks/Hackers New Delhi for this meetup. We will talk about how Google Developer Technologies can benefit media apps specially in tackling position based as well as managing large data sets.

We will also talk about how cloud can be used to broadcast news & reach out to larger number of people

A few questions to think about:

1.  What skills can journalists and coders share with each other, and what's a good way to organize that skill sharing?

2.  What kind of events are people interested in?  (Presentations, hackathons, workshops, etc?)

3.  What are some of the specific areas where we could use better tech in the newsroom? (citizen journalism, data mapping, etc?)

The venue is sponsored by "What's Up Bharat"

The event is free!

Hey all! Really excited for the meetup! We need a couple of volunteers. We need 1-2 people to register people at the door, and someone else who'd be willing to take pictures.

Any volunteers? You can email: [masked]

Taking lesson from my previous disaster (going to a meetup and not being able to find the venue)
And reliving the classic Hindi Phrase "Lout key buddhu ghar ko aye"
I would like to have number I may be able to call if One cant find the venue.
