This is a women's friendship circle that ideally would be for any women in the Western Maryland - Eastern West Virginia area in the age range 45+ to get together and have a weekly Saturday walk of 1+ miles and then meet for coffee and socialization, with occasional optional events and excursions like walking at Antietam Battlefield, attending a special tea, book discussions, potlucks, special interest (e.g. knitting, crochet), or meals out at local eateries. We will be a diverse group that is welcoming to all races, gender identities, and beliefs. We will be non-judgmental and KIND. This is an ideal way to form meaningful friendships, or just to meet people you might never have met any other way, challenging ourselves to get outside of our mental rut! Our activities will be whatever we decide is most fun! If it snows, let's make snow angels! Let's hang out!
We will meet at Greenbrier State Park just off Alt US Highway 40 pulloff for a guided nature hike on fairly even woodland paths. This hike is not expected to be strenuous. The generous Ranger has agreed to lead a tour and describe wildlife and natural habitat to us. Further details about coffee to follow and exact mile marker on US 40 will follow!
