Can we be good without god?

Absolutely. I raised my 3 sons with morals, values and ethics - it works well.

Is spirituality the exclusive domain of religion?

NO, not in modern times. I use the words personal beliefs, not spirituality. I form my beliefs from experience and research, not dogma. I use Humanistic psychology to evolve.

How did you find out about us?

a friend.

I am a licensed Humanist Officiant who performs weddings ceremonies, funerals, memorials, etc. I love to travel, but have cut it way back so as not to destroy our precious planet. I have a sailboat now - nature is stunning.

What sylvia m. is saying about this Meetup Group

AWESOME DEFINING HUMANISM: Humanism is a non-religious ethical philosophy, a way of life and a way of thinking that involves adherence to strong ethics, an emphasis on human rights and respect for the Earth and its living beings. A Humanist works towards creating a more humane and responsible world, with a commitment to reason, freedom, tolerance and compassion.
