Im Januar wird Isaac Abraham bei uns zu Gast sein mit folgendem Thema:
A practical introduction: F# and the Cloud
F# is a mature, open source, cross-platform, functional-first programming language that that is rapidly growing in popularity as a viable companion and alternative to C# and VB .NET. With its succinct and expressive syntax, jaw-droppingly powerful features and vibrant community, it’s no wonder that many of the features being proposed for the next version of C# are based on F#!
This talk will introduce the F# language and ecosystem to you, and show you just a few of the reasons why using F# can drastically reduce both bug rates and time to market. We’ll see some compelling examples of how you can immediately start using it as a part of your existing day-to-day .NET application stack, and also see some amazing demos of how F# is pushing the boundaries in data access, cloud computing, distributed compute and solving big data problems.
