Wharton Brook State Park Wallingford/North Haven line

There's some loop trails here that go through a nature preserve. It looks to be a relatively easy walk. Let's explore!

It's a small park and the nature loop trail is not all that long; less than one mile. At a normal pace, we should be finished with the walk in an hour. So, I guess it depends on whether we get distracted by the things on the trail or if we just get to walkin' at a good rate. When you get there, park near the pavillion near the pond. Look for my black light-duty pick up truck with a cap on the truck bed.

what are the directions from I 91

Coming from either north or south on I 91 get off at exit 13. Follow connector ramp to where it intersects at a traffic light with RT 5. Take a left at the light (south on RT 5). The park entrance is on the left. It comes up quickly, less than a half mile from the traffic light. If you pass Scrub Oak Road on the left you've gone too far. For those with GPS use 650 Washington Ave North Haven CT as the address.
