"Ad Astra is a literary fan-run convention, promoting local talent within the genres of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and Paranormal, for all media of the written word. Our weekend includes panels on a variety of topics including writing, publishing, media, creative works, comics, costuming and steampunk, as well as many events including Masquerade, writer workshops, and book launches. Complementing our programming, Ad Astra also has a dealer area, featuring many vendors, writers, exhibitors, artists and artisans as well as an Art Show and auction."

Please make sure you have a picture in your account (even if it's not your profile pic) that shows your face so that we will be able to recognize each other.
The con runs April 4, 5, and 6, 2014.
If you click on the "Con Favorites" link at their website:
You will see they also have Masquerade, Saturday night Dance, Tastings, ConSuite, Anime Room, and Gaming among others.
The 2014 gaming info is not up yet, but from 2011, they have Dungeons & Dragons, Game Design Workshop, LARP, video games (Saturday and Sunday), and SJG Demos. The SJG demos are a variety of tabletop games by Steve Jackson that you can try.
This year's programming is not up yet, but last year's looks interesting. This year's guests of honor look good including Steven Erikson and Patricia Briggs (Mercy Thompson series).
I recommend that you do online reservation before March 31 as it's cheaper if you are attending more than one day. See rates here:
