Come join Rachel in setting up the shelters for the feral cats for the winter.
Abandoned Angels (http://www.abandonedangelsrescue.org) (AAAR) is a federal 501c3 nonprofit charity aimed at helping cats. They have assisted in rehoming 30 feral cats to their colony in the last 2 years and have assisted with TNR throughout Burlington County. In addition to their work with feral cats, AAAR also helps the Burlington County Animal Shelter with Bottle Baby kittens (kittens that have lost their mother and are too young to survive without being bottle fed).
We will be meeting at 10am to put together small outdoor houses for the cats that do not want to sleep in the barn or greenhouse along with doing a thorough winter cleaning on the integration shed (where they show new ferals that its ok to stay here and increases the success of the rehoming) and cleaning of the greenhouse, the main area where the cats sleep and play during the winter.
If you cannot make it but would like to donate, you can HERE (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=75V6TSMHFFWZU) or you can send donations to PO Box 119 Columbus, NJ 08022. Any help or donations would be greatly appreciated as the TNR of one cat can cost AAAR anywhere from $35 to $100 depending on clinic availability and health of the cat. One feral cat's sick visit the last week of October cost the group $131 after a discount at the local vet.
Please make sure to wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty and bring a pair of gloves. If you don't have gloves, we will have some pairs at the house.
We will provide coffee, tea and snacks for volunteers.
