What we're about

Hampton Roads Poker Club is a new group for affordable poker on the Southside. Although this is a new group, I am not new to poker in this area. I currently run the Old Dominion Poker Club League in the Old Dominion Poker Club Meetup.

My tournaments have NO RAKE and payout 100% of what comes in. Games are played at my home in the Great Bridge area. I am open to others hosting games as well.

HRPC League Tournament #1 (Fall/Winter Season 2019/2020)

If you are new to the league, here is how it works and how you can join: -The League Fee is $100. That money goes in the League Prize Pool. Each monthly Tournament is $60. $50 goes into the prize pool for that tournament. $10 gets added to the League Prize Pool. Typically, monthly tournaments pay out the top 4 or 5 (depending on number of entries). The League Prize Pool will pay the top 5 finishers in the league. -The League Season consists of 6 monthly tournaments. -Tournaments are once a month on the Second Saturday of each month. The only exception to this should be Tournament #6, which will be held on the 1st Saturday of April (4/4/2020). -In addition to the Tournament Prize pool, points are awarded to league members based on their finish in the tournament. 1st place gets 30 points. 30th place gets 1 pt. -There are 2 ways to get bonus points. The top 5 finishers get bonus points (1st - 10, 2nd - 7, 3rd - 5, 4th - 3, 5th - 1). Also, you earn 1 bonus point for every person you eliminate from the tournament. It all seems complicated, but I keep track of all the points in Excel and post the results and standings after each tournament. The season standings are determined by counting your top 4 (out of 6 possible) tournaments. This allows you to be able to miss a tournament or two without being crippled. Just to give you and idea of how much the payouts are, the winner of the Spring/Summer Season is going to end up with about $2000. Typical tournament winners are around $500-$600 (depending on the number of entries). If you have made it this far and you are interested in joining the league, I take people FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. The first 30 people that pay the league entry fee of $100 are in. The last two seasons, we have filled up. You can send me the $100 via VENMO (preferred) or Paypal. If you want to use paypal, message me. My venmo is @Scott-Humpert ****You can RSVP for the tournament. It will put you on the waitlist. When you have paid the League Entry Fee, I will move you to "Going".
