Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday night at Code Fellows in Seattle, Denny Way. The main hour is from 7-8pm, but you are invited to join 30 mins before and stay 30 mins after.
This meetup is free. Bring a phone or laptop for apps. Bringing change up to $5 for trading with others is optional.
Practice using the blockchain first hand with others. We'll start and end by receiving and sending real blockchain currency with each other(values from less than a penny up to $1). No experience is required and I can send you free change to get you started. We'll learn to use everything from Bitcoin and Ethereum to 20 other brands like Litecoin, XRP, BNB, EOS, and Monero.
Other topics include:
-Finding and installing the latest apps for phone or laptop
-Finding popular DApps and playing them (websites where you can earn or spend crypto)
-Trying new features like lightning network, making our own smart contracts, or creating new DAI stablecoin
-Security with hardware and paper wallets, non-custodial vs. custodial
-Using exchanges like Coinbase and Binance and market vs. limit orders
-Understanding market cap, supply, portfolio balancing, and cold storage
-Saving, spending, and donating cryptocurrency
We'll focus on blockchains and apps we can use today, not future marketing.
