Bikas Saha from Hortonworks and TEZ committer will present a technical overview of TEZ, code samples on how to write TEZ applications, current state and projects being developed in TEZ.

While Spark and Impala are alternatives for faster HDFS ETL queries, companies with existing production code in Pig/Hive may find it a more effective strategy to implement Next Generation Pig/Hive with Apache TEZ.
