Jakarta Book Club (http://jakartabookclub.com/) is a monthly book club started in 2010.
In April, we will discuss some of the most memorable figures and legends the world has ever known. These people have inspired us, in one way or another, to become better. These people have reached their full potentials and broken the norms in order to change the world.
Expect to hear review on books written by Indonesia's very own Raden Adjeng Kartini "Letters of a Javanese Princess", the biography of Paulo Coelho "A Warrior's Life" by Fernando Morais, "Flashes of Thought" of the Emir of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, "How to Think Like Steve Jobs" by Daniel Smith, "The Autobiography of Malcolm X" by Alex Haley and Malcolm X, and more (to be updated).
Agenda of event:
• book reviews & discussion
• book swap
• chat & games
PS. There will be book swapping at the end of the event, so bring your old book(s) and expect to bring home a "new" one!
Let's read more books, share and swap them with other book lovers. Feel free to invite more people. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks. Feel free to dress casually. We want to welcome you.
This event will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia and English. This is a FREE event, supported by Kutukutubuku.com (http://kutukutubuku.com/)
