Alicia Marie was born in Hinsdale, IL, but has spent most of her youth in Michigan (Ludington and Ann Arbor). She has been playing guitar for about twelve years now and especially enjoys playing old-school blues, folk, rockabilly, funk, and swing music.
Alicia was named an "artist to watch" by famed rock guitarist, Paul Gilbert, in an interview he conducted for Guitar Player Magazine, and has been one of nine instrumentalists included in blues guitarist Buddy Guy's "Guitar Prodigy Lineup" on his website.
In addition to being a solo artist who is an acoustic and electric blues finger-picker, Alicia is also guitarist in four bands: RJ Spangler's Kansas City Six (Detroit), Big Al and the Brothers of the Blues (Ludington, MI), Catfish Pie (Oxford, MS), and The Mississippian's (Oxford, MS).
