Leading from Any Chair in the Organization: Results-driven Leadership for People Who Must Make the Impossible Happen!

Tired of waiting for your manager to lead? Don't! Lead from any chair with 3 methods proven to work for CEOs through individual contributors. Come with your dreams and leave with a plan!

Leadership is not a position in an organization chart or a title on a business card. Leadership is a way of thinking, behaving, and communicating. The fastest and easiest way to contribute as a leader from any chair is to prevent the most common causes of failure:

  • unclear goals,
  • unclear communication and
  • unclear priorities.

Why would smart, experienced professionals allow themselves to fail for these totally predictable and avoidable causes of failure?

  • Fear of Failure.
  • Learned Helplessness.
  • Thinking it's impossible.

Commit to ACTING like a leader regardless of position or title through your Actions, Communication and Thinking. Come with curiosity and leave with:

  • a conviction that "knowing how" is not enough,
  • a commitment to a change in your mindset, communication and behavior.
  • a determination NOT to wait 'til you're the CEO, but to lead from any chair . . .

. . . starting today!

About the Presenter:
-----------------------------

Kimberly Wiefling, Founder and President of Wiefling Consulting, specializes in enabling people to achieve what seems impossible, but is merely difficult. She currently spends about half of her time working with high-potential leaders in Japanese companies as the executive program director for ALC Education’s Global Management Consulting Group, facilitating leadership, innovation, global team effectiveness, and execution excellence workshops. A physicist by education, she worked for a decade at HP in product development project management and engineering leadership.

Before starting her own business (and helping to start many others) she spent 4 years working in Silicon Valley startups, including a Xerox Parc spinoff where she was the VP of Program Management and Organizational Effectiveness. She is the author of one of the top project management books in the US, Scrappy Project Management - The 12 Predictable and Avoidable Pitfalls Every Project Faces, published in Japanese by Nikkei Business Press. Kimberly is a force of nature, spreading enthusiasm, courage and possibility throughout the world.
