Dear Bobbie,

I'm so sorry about your son's condition. I can't imagine what you've been through the past year. Please take good care of yourself too.

I went to your party last year and it's awesome! If you decided to host again, I think a pot luck kinds of arrangement maybe feasible. Or have the party in a restaurant?

God bless and good luck to you and family!

It's that time of year again and I have heard some "rumors" that last year's holiday party at my place was such a success that there's interest in another big bash this year.  That being the case, I wanted to throw out a thought.

Some of you are aware, but most of you are not, that my 15 year old son Alex was diagnosed with bone cancer in March.  He's been through multiple surgeries and almost 9 months of intense chemotherapy.   His chemo is scheduled to end around the second week of December.  He is doing ok and hanging in there, he is one tough kid!  As you can imagine, not only have I been VERY busy, my son's care has taken a financial toll as well.  That being said, I would love to host the "Second Annual Holiday Party-Cocktails and Dancing at Bobbie's House" this year.  I am emailing our members to hear some thoughts on if this should be a "cover charge" type of party this year due to the financial constraints, or a BYOB and appetizers type of affair, etc.  I am open to all comments and suggestions.  Our very own DJ Talal has also graciously volunteered his services once again this year.  Obviously I won't be able to hire a bartender, wait staff, clean up crew and taco lady this year! So we'll need suggestions on how to handle that as well.  Or if any of our members would like to host at their place this year that would be great too!  I will be the first to sign up!

We all had a blast last year and this event was full shortly after I posted it with an amazing wait list.  If you would like to celebrate the holidays again this year please give me a shout out to let me know the level of interest in this type of party and your ideas.  Thanks!
