All the way from London, this month we're pleased to welcome Mike Harrison, creator of the "Mike's Electric Stuff" YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/mikeselectricstuff). Mike will be talking about the various challenges of creating hardware for art installations. These are large scale installation, sometimes involving 100's of thousands of LEDs, some of which are on permanent display in London Heathrow Airport, others which have been hoisted over the city of London!
We're also pleased to welcome Derek Kozel, who has working on all things RF for many years. He now works at Ettus Research (a National Instruments company) (https://www.ettus.com/) creating software defined radios for the GNU project, among other projects. He will be talking about how to programmatically control the airwaves!
As always, we welcome attendees to give 2 minute talks about their projects and companies (please see the organizers to get set up when you arrive).
Food and beverages will be provided, you bring the discussion about hardware (or whatever else you're passionate about).
Look forward to seeing you all there!
