The final Contra of the Fall/Winter/Spring season so let's have some good clean old fashioned dancing!!! The next one won't be until probably October.
There will be "SHINDIGS AT THE BARN" Contra Dancing from 7 PM to 10 PM at the old Powder Mill Barn in Enfield, CT. Beginner's lessons from 6:30 PM to 7 PM. All are welcome to come to the event (married or single). You don't have to bring a partner. Children are welcome too. Casual dress (best no high heels, though). This venue is non-alcoholic. There is an $10 fee ($5 for students, under 12 free) the Barn charges for entry to cover their costs.
This is a great event with lots of fun and a great old fasioned abiance to boot. Dress like it is hot out for dancing as you will get hot dancing. I liked this so much I keep it as a mainstay for our group to fill the night once a month Oct. - May. Please note there is an overall limit as to how many people can fit in the Barn so I have limited RSVP's. Overall the Barn can accomodate 200 people but I think no more than about 120 could dance (attendance was around 60 in Oct. 2010). Just because you RSVP here does not necessarily mean there will be room in the Barn if you arrive late.
