As they’ve done for the past several years, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) will have a Light the Night (LtN) event, culminating in a walk where we carry lanterns that - you guessed it - light the night. It’ll be in Bushnell Park in Hartford on Thursday, October 17, from approximately 6 to 8 PM. As we all know, LLS uses donated funds to contribute to the work done to improve outcomes for leukemia and lymphoma patients – a very good cause indeed.
Once again, Hartford Area Humanists (HAH) is sponsoring a team, which means:
• Making donations to LLS via our team’s web page on the LtN website
• Joining the walk at Bushnell Park on Thursday, October 17
Our team’s page on the LtN website is:
We may be joined again by members of the Connecticut Valley Atheists (CVA). But in any case, we plan to go to a restaurant (TBD) after the walk for food and drink.
Hopefully, many of us will donate and will have friends and relatives who will also donate via our team web page. It will be nice for HAH to make a strong showing – and we’re supporting a very good cause.
I’ll be issuing updates via Meetup as Oct. 17 draws nearer. Eventually, I’ll be directly in touch with those of you who are joining me for the walk; I welcome your company!
