Hey guys,

let me take the opportunity to point you to this years Easterhegg which is hosted in Basel.

I am involved in the organization of the event and I would love to see one or more Haskell or FP topics covered.

So, how about we give a introduction to Haskell or hold a Haskell programmer workshop or praise the benefits of functional programming in general (regarding the "why functional programming matters" paper that has been posted by Federico). We could even have a Haskell Meetup there ;)

Let's do it, guys. I looking forward to your input. Or you can go straight ahead and submit a proposal. You can find the details on the Easterhegg website.

I cannot but support this proposal given that the event is in Basel. If you guys come I can show you the city and we can go out for a beer if you like. Fact is, we still don't have a topic for the next meeting. Any news from Gregory Collins?

Also, Alexander, the event seems more oriented to security/digital rights/network-hacking kind of topics, would a talk about an esoteric programming language fit?
