What we’re about
This group was started because, in 2009, two people got interested in cycling as a recreational activity and decided to make recumbent bicycles their ride of choice.
A number of great rides were organized, and a great group of like minded cyclists formed.
Fast forward a few years... in 2015, "ownership" of the group passed to Tim Fricker, owner of BIKES@VIENNA, Northern Virginia's recumbent headquarters. There's been a bit of downtime, in the transition, but the goal is to move forward and start having more great rides. A Meetup group is only as good as the interest level of its members, so we look to you, the members for ideas for rides and perhaps other events. And if anyone in the group is at all interested in being an Assistant Organizer, just let us know.
The point of this group is to have fun on recumbent bikes and trikes.... so to borrow the words of the original group founders, Mike and Patti -
