Archery
Tonight we remember The Battle of Agincourt. The battle commenced at 11.00hrs on the 25th October 1415. The French army were met by a furious bombardment of artillery from the English archers with the longbow reaching a range of 250 yards. This is said to be the last great battle fought with bow and arrow. Henry had won one of the greatest victories of military history. So tonight we will shoot a volley of arrows to mark the occasion. Just £4.50 per person with all equipment provided and instruction if needed

What we're about

Archery - It is seen by many as a part of our national heritage - bowman from Britain are remembered on account of the part they played at Agincourt 1415, Crecy 1346 and Poitier 1356. Not to forget the legends of Robin Hood.

Archery is now an Olympic sport and has clubs all over the country. It does not matter if you are male or female you will have a rewarding struggle with oneself, the constant challenge to improve scores and maybe hitting gold.

All equipment bows, arrows, arm braces, finger tabs etc. will be supplied, as well as instruction from a GNAS Instructor if needed. Toward the end of the session we normally shoot 3 ends of scoring just to make it a little competitive. Like a lot of other meetup groups we have a No Show rule. If you RSVP Yes to an event, and do not turn up or let us know that you cannot attend, after the second time this happens we will terminate your membership of the group.

We are a small group that come together once a month for either Air Rifle Shooting or Archery. Anyone is welcome to come along and have a go.
