Class description: Yoga provides Physical Health, Mental Control, Emotional Balance and Intellectual Development. This class is Patanjali's Ashtanga Yoga class that consists of a series of poses executed in swift succession, combined with deep, controlled breathing along with Pranayama and Mantra meditation. All asanas follow the motto of Sukham Sthiram Asanam meaning Steady and Comfortable posture. The ultimate purpose of the Ashtanga practice is purification of the body and mind. By moving so quickly and powerfully, you will get a lot of tapas and everything extra, physical and mental, will have to get out of the way. This practice has a strong sense of purpose and you are forced to focus and grow. Ashtanga comes with all the benefits of a regular yoga practice–strength, flexibility, stress management, and inner peace. Ashtanga yoga is for you if you want a challenge and you love structure.

Her class will be a safe zone for everyone and the focus will only be on becoming a better version of ourselves by going inwards.

This 15-20 minute meditation is designed to give us a break from our busy minds and center us in awareness. We do this by first by observing our body and sensory experience before centering the attention on the breath. Afterward we'll take as much time as needed to share questions and reflections.
