What we're about

This is a community-support project hosted by a set of Aikido Instructors.
Our intention is to host a prototype "Violence Management" seminar for Health Care Professionals that face violence in the workplace -- from mentally-compromised patients, patients suffering from dementia, stressed-out patient family members, or whatever your situation might be.
We need a group of such professionals to help us understand the violence management needs of your community. Our event will be on a Sunday afternoon in late July (TBD), and will be a give-and-take session of your descriptions of what kind of violent incidents you face regularly at work, and then us showing you selected techniques that might be of value in such situations.
Aikido is a gentle defensive art that allows the control of a perpetrator without injury to either party, so it is well suited to the needs of the Health Care community.

Please join up so you can see the actual date of our event when we set it.
