This November Health 2.0 Houston has planned our first community service project, helping our amazing friends at Via Colori (http://centerhearingandspeech.org/via-colori/) raise money for the The Center for Hearing and Speech. We're hoping over 30 H20H members will volunteer for the event, so please consider giving some of your time for this special afternoon together!
Sign up to volunteer Nov 24 from 2 - 6 PM for a beautiful afternoon of street art and community service. All our volunteers get a free t-shirt, free parking, and complimentary drinks during their afternoon of service. And afterwards, maybe we can brush the chalk dust off together downtown and share a meal (and maybe a cocktail) together?
All roads lead to creativity, especially when 200 artists converge on the streets surrounding City Hall on November 23 – 24 for Via Colori. After seven successful years, the Via Colori Street Painting Festival has grown into one of Houston’s signature art events and it remains the only street painting festival in the region.
Last year the festival attracted more than 30,000 attendees with its art, live music, activities and food and drink. Via Colori benefits The Center for Hearing and Speech, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping deaf children listen, speak and read.
