We will be launching from the area used by Sweetwater Kayaks. The parking area is on the left just after the Cultural Center and before the fishing pier area. Besides the spaces used by Sweetwater Kayaks, there is limited parking for vehicles at that location. It may be necessary to unload your kayak and park at spaces closer to the pier or at the Cultural Center.
Description: Paddle beautiful mangrove tunnels that lead through the tidal forests into quiet lagoons. The marked kayak/canoe trail is easy to follow. Expect to see an amazing array of wildlife including great blue herons, great egrets, roseate spoonbills, yellow-crowned night herons, white ibis, osprey, and belted kingfishers. Watch the water for jumping mullet, stingrays, manatees, and Bottlenose dolphins.
