LOCATION: Tenoroc Gate; approximately 2763 Saddle Creek Road, Lakeland, FL 33801; GPS: 28°04'23.8"N 81°52'44.8"W.
If you are coming on Saddle Creek Road from Combee Road in Lakeland, the driveway is approximately 1.8 miles on the right. If you are coming from Auburndale, take Old Dixie Highway east bound from Berkley Road. Stay straight on road when name changes to Saddle Creek Road. Total distance from Berkley Road is approximately 3.7 miles. Gate is on the left.
Look for Heartland Chapter signs. Park inside the gate.
DESCRIPTION: Please help us with the trails of Tenoroc WMA. We will be lopping and blazing trails. We may also be doing brush cutting.
Please note, there is no bathroom facilities at this location.
BRING OR WEAR: WATER but must not be carried by hands. You will need both hands to work. Also bring or wear: sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots (no flip flops), work gloves, snacks, and insect protection. It is suggested to wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt.
In addition, bring a chair and lunch to eat at parking lot around 12:30.
