FEES WAIVER: FTA event attendees are not required to pay the Teneroc Wildlife Management Area entrance fee of $3.00. Upon entering the WMA drive directly to the meeting location, obeying all posted traffic control and speed limit signs.
DESCRIPTION: Our guest speaker will be Mr. Tracy Mullins, Senior Planner for Park and Natural Resources for Polk County. He will talk about the status of trails in Polk County and what's planned for the future.
We will also have a " rummage sale" (sale of objects contributed by members and donors to raise money for a cause) for unused or gently worn trail/camping equipment and/or clothing with all proceeds going to the Heartland Chapter treasury to support equipment purchase or repair.
There will be a pot luck lunch after the business meeting. It is suggested that people who brought desserts last time should be bringing main dish this time and those who brought salads should bring desserts. For environmental reasons, it is requested that you bring your own dishes and silverware; however, if you cannot, plates and silverware are available. Please bring something to drink. It may be helpful to bring a chair.
