Dress is business or business casual (or what is typically accepted in your industry). The cost of the meeting, which includes a buffet lunch, is $20, payable at the door by cash, credit card or check. The food is always delicious, so make sure you bring your appetite as well.
After time for open networking and getting our food, our meeting begins exactly at 12:15 P.M. with introductions. While we are eating, we begin our individual 45-second infomercials - members and substitutes first, and then our guests. We introduce ourselves, our business, and tell who would make a great referral for us for direct business or as a referral source. If your business competes with an existing member's business we just ask that you not solicit direct referrals during the meeting, simply describe your business. Following the infomercials, we usually have an in-depth presentation from one of our members on their business and the type of referrals they'd like to receive. We wind up the meeting by documenting the referral business we've done, training, and one-to-one meetings we've had during the week. The meeting ends at 1:30 P.M. sharp, but you may want to plan on sticking around a bit to do some additional networking with people you've found interesting.
