ExxonMobil’s Research Lead, Emily Danielson, will walk us through the five main ways she and her teammates have estimated and communicated the business value of their UX research work. Come get a primer in calculating time saved, opportunity cost, error elimination, avoiding false starts, and safety.

Emily leads a team of innovative UX researchers in the upstream department of ExxonMobil. She is committed to providing “research to the people” through clear reporting and rigorous methodology. Emily has founded three research teams in both big enterprise and small non-profits and consistently focuses her team and customers on quantifying the value of research. Her research has been used in an FBI anti-corruption case, by NASA to map coastal geography changes, and cited by Michelle Obama.
