This is the third Progressive Ride starting in Golden Valley (actual start is in Hopkins with rest stop in Golden Valley). We will keep the average speed at around 10 mph, and go as slow as we need in order to ensure that everyone is able to keep up and have an enjoyable ride. Distance will be about 22-24 miles. This ride is mainly about having fun and being comfortable riding in a group setting. Please park in the Tonka Cycle parking lot, away from the store entrance (we want to leave room for their customers). Hope to see you on the ride!

Join members of the Hiawatha Bicycling Club ( HBC) as they get their bikes out and riding legs in shape for the new riding season. We are offering a progressive ride series at four different locations. Edina, Golden Valley, Roseville, and Wayzata. Each series will consist of three Saturday rides. The first ride will be about 12-14 miles, the second about 16-18 miles, and the third about 22-24 miles. These rides offer you a chance to get in shape for a summer full of fun riding and to learn more about the bike routes the HBC bike club offers throughout the year. Each ride will begin at a neighborhood bike shop. If you need air for your tires or minor bike adjustments, please come early so the bike shop staff has time to help you.

Each of the progressive group rides will use a combination of trails and quiet neighborhood streets to give you a sampling of fun ways to get around town. Halfway through each ride enjoy a scheduled rest stop at D’Amico & Sons Restaurant. They will be providing all Progressive Ride participants a complimentary salad sampler from one of the many they offer daily and a taste of their Gelato Ice Cream. D’Amico partners with HBC every July 4 th in hosting the Tour D’Amico, one of the largest biking events in the Twin Cities over fouth. Participating in these progressive rides will provide excellent exposure to group riding, and hopefully good reason to consider joining in our July 4 event as well.

If you enjoy or think you might enjoy, riding with a group, these rides offer a great opportunity to ride with an experienced leader who will ensure that we all stay together and that no one gets left behind. We will have multiple HBC members to help with each ride. All we ask is that you come prepared to have fun!
